ibis budget Bordeaux Centre Mériadeck

First of all the staff is so helpful and they all speak very fluent English. Breakfast is typical continental buffet, good coffee There's a free water machine close to the reception so you can refill your water bottle as much as you want. The room and the toilet was clean spotless. Comfortable bed There's a Carrefour just across the street of the hotel. Location of the hotel is a walking distance to a city centre. There's a bus station and tram line close. Hotel has a small fridge with food to select from if you came late at night.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD OPTION IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN A SAFE AREA VERY CLOSE TO THE CITY CENTRE.TO BEGIN WITH, THERE IS A TRAM FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL(THE TRAM STOP IS RIGHT OUTSIDE IT).IT RUNS ON REGULAR INTERVALS STARTING AT 5:00 AM IN THE MORNING EVEN ON SUNDAY.IT IS CLEAN,THE STAFF VERY POLITE AND ACCOMMODATING AND THE RESTAURANT ON THE GROUND FLOOR IS DECENT.RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET THERE ARE TWO SUPERMARKETS AND WITHIN 7 MINUTES ON FOOT A MALL. MOREOVER, THE CITY CENTRE,THE SIGHTS AND A PLETHORA OF RESTAURANTS,CAFES AND PASTRY SHOPS ARE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE.THERE IS NO HAIRDRYER IN THE ROOM BUT YOU CAN ASK FOR ONE AT THE RECEPTION DESK.THE ROOM SIZE WAS GOOD.

Booking.com messed up our booking! We paid for a triple room (with a child's bunk bed) Ibis. However ibis could only see a booking for 2 adults on their system. As a result they had put us in a double room for two adults. When we worked out what had happened the Ibis budget staff were helpful and moved us to a triple room in the main Ibis hotel next door. This was all handled fairly swiftly and efficiently with no additional charge. Otherwise a good experience, clean, decent room. Good location, great price.

Nice location very close to the center and the tram to the airport. Possibility to store luggage for 2 euros per room, and a bar inside the hotel. There was AC in the room which was great as it was very hot. Bed was comfy and we slept well. There was a water dispenser which was great to refill our bottles before going out.

Perfectly located, we took night tram (A) from airport and bus stop was 80m from Ibis and the next days had a small walk to reach to city center. Staff was extra nice all the time and we really appreciated free refill for water!!
